Yes Cozart looks really good. When they start pitching him more carefully....hopefully he does not go fishing and Votto can clean up the bases.

Actually, in hindsight, Latos was left in too long. When the bases were loaded, a new pitcher to face Stanton may have worked better.

Second guessing, whatever, get Zambrano tomorrow.

I feel, we burned pitchers that we did not need to now. I really hope Bronson can be crafty against these Marlins tomorrow and these guys go out and party hard after their first victory!

Hopefully games like this will show some fans that relievers matter. This was a two run ballgame before Messrs. Lecure and Simon got their hands on it.

When I think that some fans wanted to go with a pen with no Madson, no Masset, and no Chapman -- and said it was a fine bullpen -- I have to laugh.

The Votto homer notwithstanding.....the 2 best hitters on this team are the 2 LH's....and they did not look good against what looks to be a channeling of Greg Maddux tonight by Nolasco.

Now almost the entire bullpen has been used......so Arroyo better be thinking no worse than 6 on Sunday.

I heard then say the #5 starter will not be skipped. You know what...... you think skipping him and using Leake in long relief would not have been something to look at until he needed to start? I would not have thought tonight it would be needed....but it was.

I disagree. Votto has a two run homer. What have the righty bats contributed?

Look at Nolasco's splits for last year, for his career. You want to get to him, load up the lineup with LH hitters. Reds don't have them.

Really good pitchers are equally tough against all hitting. For them, it doesn't matter.

For guys like Nolasco, he can't overcome the percentages. Load up the lineup with LH hitters you have a big advantage. Whatever, I'm tired of making this argument, the Reds obviously don't buy it.

Arrendondo reverts to old form. Back to back walks. Down 5 runs I guess it doesn't matter. Still can't find the zone

I think every reliever for the Reds has pitched in 1 of the first 2 games. With an off day. Not what I call a used up pen.

Arroyo would probably be tough on the RH heavy REDS lineup.

I don't know how the Votto homer can be "notwithstanding." It produced two runs. What have the six righties produced?

I know Arredondo is wild, but I continue to like the guy. He is hard to hit. He throws hard and has a good breaking pitch.

No cycle for Infante. Still Looks like a bargain for $4 mm/year.

Infante missed the cycle. Let's hope we tie and he gets another chance!
