Re: Reds vs. Cardinals Monday 4/9

At this point, I am more concerned about our lack of hitting than our pitching. Our hitting approach is reminding me a lot of last year, which I considered very inconsistent. We would score a bunch of runs in one game, then would score very few for days. Regardless that the stats showed we scored the 2nd most runs in the NL last year, we were not a good hitting team collectively. Too many missed opportunities. Too many K's. No patience or disciplined at the plate. Baserunning blunders.

I know he hit a homerun, but it's been a pretty bad start to the year for Votto.

It takes awhile to count to 225 million.

Votto has struck out in half of his at bats.

Can I listen to this game online without doing that MLB Gameday crap?

With the Cardinals playing batting practice in the first inning and now Brandon getting hurt, this night has pretty much been a disaster thus far for the Reds.

Walks Yadier on four pitches with two down. Homer gets hooked. Only way to get Bill Bray some work in before the 7th inning. Because we know that is a no-go. So let's see. Homer gets two quick outs. Walks Molina on four pitches. And yet, magically, Bray is ready. He must have been up from the start of the inning. I thought that was not allowed.

When did Phillips leave the game? I have the sound down working.
