What are the odds Lohse can have back to back good games?

He never did as a Red

Why wouldn't Valdez be in the lineup? I thought it was majorly important to have a lefty on the bench.

No. It's not too early for me to offer my opinion. I didn't like the pick because I felt he had a limited ceiling. He's not going to add any MPH to his fastball, any more sink to his sinker or cut to his slider. He throws a lot of pitches but none of them are devastating. He does not miss bats. He's a decent major league pitcher but nothing special and never will be. Spending a #8 overall pick(I can't remember exactly where we took him) on a guy who, as drafted, was basically as good as he was ever going to be, is a mistake.
“The crows seem to be calling my name,” thought Caw.

Votto with a base knock to center.

Why in the Hades would you would ever keep his bat out of the lineup is the real question.

Aside from this, why isn't Valdez in the lineup?

Leake was as rusty as Bailey, the only difference is, Molina decided to swing his way out of a big inning. If Holiday had done that(oh, wait, he literally almost did).......

Yet, let the Bailey haters keep on spewing.

And the Bailey apologists keep on offering excuses.

I'm a reds fan, but honestly how can anyone look at these two teams and objectively say the Reds are even close to the Cards. Top to bottom the Cards lineup is just lightyears ahead of the Reds. Pitching is even farther apart.

Descalso with a single down the right field line. He wasn't testing Bruce on that one.

The Cards have such a good plan, and approach at the plate. Some day I hope the Reds change their philosophy to match the Cards.
