Even with the off day tomorrow, another getaway day lineup. Berkman's out with the sore calf. Resting both Beltran and Freese as well?

    Cardinals
    Furcal SS
    Jay CF
    Holliday LF
    Carpenter 1B
    Molina C
    Descalso 3B
    Greene 2B
    Komatsu RF
    Garcia P

My grandfather used to say that it wasn't good for baseball if the home team didn't win a game in a series. Matheny appears to be giving this one away.

Phillips, Rolen, Berkman, Beltran, Freese all out today and Cueto/Garcia on the hill. Game should take 2 hours.

Picked up MLB Gameday audio this morning. Glancing over the schedule I think I'll be happy with the purchase. Looks like we average at least one day game per work week.

Hopefully the Reds can pull one out today.

Edit: I have such terrible reception in my office I can't pickup 700 wlw on a radio much less use my cell phone. But the internet works great thank god.

I'm glad Freese isn't in their lineup today.

I'm excited to see Cueto go again this afternoon - going against a weaker Cards lineup should boost his confidence. Looking forward to a great game!

Me too. I'm concerned about DatDude missing another game after his pulled hamstring Monday. Stubbs hits Garcia pretty well, I'm hoping he can drive the ball at least to the outfield for the first time this year. Time to right the ship.

I wonder why Stubbs wasn't leading off last night? Not like he was gonna or anything. Just curious.

Is today (sixth game of the year) the day Stubbs gets a ball out of the infield? Crowd is breathless with anticipation.

Where is the game being played today? Can't possibly be GABP. No home runs in the first. I wonder if Homer is watching?
