Dorn is still listed on the Bats roster, although he hasn't played in the last few games and is listed as having been released on the Bats' Game Notes. I guess no one has told Milb.com.

Love the HRod news. Hopefully, part of the reason is clearing the bottom of the ladder for Gelalich, Boyd, Ortiz and maybe someone from the DSL (Suero?) or Vincej.

Felix Perez and Willie Harris were placed on Louisville's 7-day disabled list.

It'd be really cool if his middle name was Muy.

Junior Arias was placed on the disabled list after aggravating his groin last night. Spencer Dickinson is coming over from Billings to take his roster spot.

You think so? I figured Joe Terry would get most of the playing time at third. Buckley hasn't played a single inning at third this year, so I figured they already made up their minds on that one.

Gelalich is active for Billings now, as is Seth Mejias-Brean (8th-round, U. of Arizona).

    Reds Release Michael Wuertz
By Mike Axisa [July 5 at 4:51pm CST]
The Reds have released Michael Wuertz according to Baseball America's Matt Eddy (on Twitter). Cincinnati signed the veteran right-hander to a minor league contract back in May.

Wuertz, 33, has not pitched this year due to continued injury problems. He posted a 6.68 ERA with 8.6 K/9 and 7.0 BB/9 in 33 2/3 innings for the A's in 2011, just two seasons after emerging as one of the league's dominant setup men. He battled hamstring and thumb injuries in 2011.

Very surprised Gelalich isn't beginning at Dayton. Rookie ball for a supplemental first-round pick out of the college ranks? Ouch.
