What's up with the game time?

Why is today's game at 1:00? Ususally the afternoon games on on get away days, not the first game of the season. I don't remember ever seeing a Thursday first game of the series afternoon game. Have I just not been paying attention?

I haven't checked, but I assume it's opening day for the Nationals.

Opening Day for the much improved Nationals. I didn't catch the beginning, did Obama throw out the first pitch?
