This offense is atrocious. Just an awful job by Walt configuring this team. Spent 10 million on a stupid closer when we obviously desperately needed an outfielder.

Not saying he shouldn't have swung, just saying that he saw 1 strike.

This is just plain sad. Great Defense is only good with an offense that puts at least 1 or 2 runs on the board.

And the Reds' pitchers never get a call? I don't think the umpiring has been bad. Swing the damn bat. Geez.

Strike 3 to Stubbs was ball 4 to Espinosa (sp) in their scoring inning. Just sayin'.

It's unreal how much Stubbs is in his own head right now. The second he steps up to the plate he and every single Reds fan are thinking strikeout. Has the tools, but it's starting to look like he's lacking the mentality to be a Major League Baseball player at the level we need.

Ever? Of course they have. Today, Gio had a wide zone to the right and Clippard had free reign away, away, away from the righties. People will blame Stubbs for not swinging on the last pitch, but it was Ball 2 - the other two strikes I have a lot more issue with Drew not putting the bat on.

It doesn't matter where the pitch was.

This guy takes called third strikes on non-full counts at a rate unparalleled in the history of the game. And the fool takes the first two strikes to get into those counts!

It's on him...in ST he basically said he didn't plan on changing. And Baker wants us all to look the other way. Sorry, but that's just not possible.

Stubbs is not a smart player. He's as obnoxiously stubborn as his manager, who could be his role model.

There! Right there! That was strike three to Stubbs, called a ball from Arredondo.

    This umpire IS atrocious.

    Reds now 6 for 45 w/RISP. A tidy .133 average.
