Also threw close to 100 pitches through 5 and labored through virtually every AB. Awful outing for a guy that's allegedly a TOR starter.

This team needs a legitimate No. 4 hitter.

Jeff Austin and Jose Acevedo references, things must be going swell.

Dude if you are expecting a shutout everytime he pitches, you are gonna be in for a long season. Not even Halladay does that.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

The work I saw (not the whole game by any stretch of the imagination) by Latos was actually impressive. He was not able to locate his breaking ball anywhere but the dirt but still was getting guys out with not much more than a fastball. Somedays it is a struggle and he did lose so time late in spring training so I thought given what it looked like he had today, he equipped himself well.

No, actually, he's batting 3rd ... in Texas.

No, but Roy Halladay doesn't nibble at the corners and throw 100 pitches in 5 innings.

I'm not expecting Mat Latos to be the best pitches in the league. But in his first 2 starts he's looked nothing like a top of the rotation guy. I'm confident that he'll get it together, but as of now, he's looked bad. No way around that. Just calling it like it is.

I don't think Latos is nibbling I just don't think he has found any command yet. It will come. I find the offense way more frustrating.

Maybe, but I'll take 2 runs allowed in 5 innings. Now if you want to start talking about the hitters, then that's different....

    Lecure on to pitch.

Depleted bullpen being asked to carry a lot of innings early in the year. The rotation is loaded with guys who should be pitching 7 innings per start. 5 IP is unacceptable, especially with a 4 game series starting and coming off 5 straight with no off day.

I'm not thrilled with Latos' outing, but unacceptable? Let's not forget where today's finger of blame needs to be pointing, the offense.

Mr 225 Million is 0-3. Unacceptable!
