    Bad night for Brackman, who started for Louisville: 0.2 IP, 4 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 2 BB, 1 K.

    Bats trail 6-2 after four.

Louisville's runs have come on HRs by Frazier and Navarro.

Kanekoa Texeira has been pitching much better than I expected. Tonight he gave up one run in 4 IP, leaving his ERA at 0.96.

Waldrop doubles in Silva and Dayton leads 1-0 after two, with Gerson pitching well.

5-3 now in Louisville as Janish triples and comes home on a Navarro GO. Carlos Fisher pitching in the 7th.

All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Hard to imagine bringing up Janish for his offense. But we might have to consider it given the current state of things.

Pensacola put up a 4 spot in the 4th, now lead Mobile 4-0 going to bottom 5. Didi and HRod are both 2 for 3, Sulbaran pitching.

In the last four games, Bats starters have gone 2.1, 1.2, 4.2, and now .2 innings. Hopefully the Reds will send some help from Dayton up tomorrow for a game or two - the bullpen is at the end of the line.

Stalin Gerson (6 IP) and Dan Jensen (3 IP) combined on a 3-hitter as Dayton won, 6-0. Jensen, the former UC guy, is starting to make a little name for himself, it would seem. He also fits right in at 6-foot-8.

Juan Perez homered and Silva (triple) and Ryan Wright had three hits apiece.

Hamilton stole his seventh but was also caught. Vidal has homered. Both have two hits. Josh Smith was pulled in the fifth and Bakersfield trails 6-3 in the seventh.

    The view from San Jose:
    - All three of Billy's hits were infield singles, he's pretty fast.
    - Vidal was the designated "beer batter" (half-price beer if he strikes out) and had two strikes when he hit the home run, so that upset the natives.

Yorman wasn't in the lineup, but he was on the field before the game, with Eli Marrero trying to show him something about batting stances. Judging by his body language Yorman seemed to seriously disagree with what he was being shown! Top marks for his bench work though: he was the most enthusiastic high fiver and butt patter.
