Nothing in the first for either team in Lousiville.

Dayton goes 1,2,3 but gives up an unearned run South Bend up 1-0

I hate that Phipps and Perez reverted back to their early 2011 performances.

It was bound to happen for Phipps. That kind of luck wasn't going to last.

I agree about coming back to earth, but .143 isn't what I expected. Perez is even worse. Bad deal for the players as well as the organization.

Needs to cut down on the strikeouts. Over 30% in AAA this season. Should improve, but doubt he hits better than .250-.260.

Corky is only player with multiple hits.

Kyle Waldrop, 2-3 today with a 2B, is coming on strong after a rough start in the middle of the Dayton lineup. Seems like he kicked it in when he was dropped down.

Tomko allowed 10 baserunners in 4.1 IP, but only one run. Christiani has struggled mightily. Louisville's lead is now 5-3.

I thought Tomko was on the DL. (Disabled List not Down Low)
