Small sample size alert and yatta yatta yatta. The first two columns are 2011 P/PA and 2012 P/PA. Third column is the difference and the fourth column is 2012 OPS.
Looks like a mixed bag to me. 5 players being more patient. With 8 players being less so. Harris and Mesoraco are way down. Quite possibly these two players are pressing. That is what I would go with.
Interesting to note that of the 8 players that are exercising less patience so far in 2012, 7 of them are OPSing .554 or less. In other words, they are stinking up the joint. Cozart is the only exception to this rule.
I don't think much can be made of this but since I went through the trouble of getting the info together and making a spreadsheet, I figured it wouldn't hurt to throw it out there.
