    Patience, Grasshopper.

    Code:

    ludwick	3.71	4.07	0.36	0.660

    mesraco	3.47	2.38	-1.09	0.481
    harris	4.00	2.89	-1.11	0.229
Small sample size alert and yatta yatta yatta. The first two columns are 2011 P/PA and 2012 P/PA. Third column is the difference and the fourth column is 2012 OPS.

Looks like a mixed bag to me. 5 players being more patient. With 8 players being less so. Harris and Mesoraco are way down. Quite possibly these two players are pressing. That is what I would go with.

Interesting to note that of the 8 players that are exercising less patience so far in 2012, 7 of them are OPSing .554 or less. In other words, they are stinking up the joint. Cozart is the only exception to this rule.

I don't think much can be made of this but since I went through the trouble of getting the info together and making a spreadsheet, I figured it wouldn't hurt to throw it out there.

Harris and Mesoraco both look quite impatient. Then again, those two have had the fewest PAs of the lot. I actually find this chart encouraging. It seems like something that can change (except possibly for Stubbs) as players relax. Then hopefully the offense will pick up.
