    Your line-up?

Just wondering what you guys would do with the line-up to try and get our bats going?

    Assuming Phillips is healthy...

    1. Ryan Hanigan/Drew Stubbs
    2. Zack Cozart
    3. Joey Votto
    4. Brandon Phillips
    5. Jay Bruce
    6. Scott Rolen
    7. Ryan Ludwick/Chris Heisey
    8. Drew Stubbs/Devin Mesoraco
I see great things in baseball. It's our game.

I would start batting Votto cleanup and Bruce 3rd, in an attempt to let Bruce see more pitches, they aren't pitching to Votto with anyone behind him anyway.

    Cozart
    Phillips
    Bruce
    Votto
    Ludwick
    Heisey (CF)
    Rolen
    Mesoraco
    Pitcher

Honestly though, I don't think anything is going to make a huge difference until some people start hitting. Their offense has been so bad you could organize them in anyway way you want outside of Votto hitting 3 times it wouldn't produce much.

A summer watching a bad Reds' team, is still a pretty good summer.

I would love to see that 3, 4, 5 for awhile. Votto gets close to nothing to hit while batting third right now so idk what it could hurt.

    Re: Your line-up?

I am all for Cozart leading off; that's what they had him doing for the Bats as I recall. I want Mes to get the starting nod. Slot him in the 8 spot and let me get some significant AB's.

    1. Cozart
    2. BP
    3. Voto
    4. Bruce
    5. Ludwick
    6. Rolen
    7. Stubbs/Heisey
    8. Mesoraco

1st I trade Homer Bailey and Drew Stubbs to the disAstros for Carlos Lee.

    Cozart 6
    BP 4
    Votto 3
    Lee 7
    Bruce 9
    Ludwig 8
    Rolen 5
    Mes 2

I like this because you have to pitch to Votto because Bruce is behind him and you have to pitch to Bruce because Phillips is behind him. Stubbs sounds crazy in the six spot but it is perfect for a free swinger like Stubbs who has proven he has power when he makes contact. This will allow Stubbs to have a plate approach he likes. This could very well turn Stubbs into the five tool player he CAN be.

For someone who has questioned Rolen, I find it curious that you think Lee would be of use.

Not knocking you but doesn't Lee present the same type of questions that Rolen does? Aging veteran? Declining production?

    Re: Your line-up?

My main gripe with Rolen is he is not a cleanup hitter. Put him in the 7 or 8 hole and I'm fine with him being our 3Bman. Lee already has 9 RBI and is on pace for about 145, plus I look at Lee as more of a rental for this year.

Why would you want a out of shape horrible fielding way overpaid Astro?

    Re: Your line-up?

    Ideally, I'd go

    Phillips
    Cozart
    Bruce
    Votto
    Ludwick
    Rolen
    Stubbs
    Hannigan/Mes
    Pitcher

If Votto is going to get upset about that though, not worth it.
