Note to Reds: THIS is a lineup, yours isn't.

Why are the Cards successful? The sum of their talent is not equal to that which is their parts. They are getting a dollar out of 2 quarters and 3 nickels seemingly. It just doesn't add up.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

Cueto strikes out Berkman for the second out.

It's been that way for years, and it continues to boggle my mind.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

FWIW, the radar gun has Cueto hitting 94 on the StL feed.

A generous call gives Cueto a strikeout on Freese to end the inning.

Nice pitch on the inside corner. Freese strikes out looking.

These starters have serious first inning issues, and they did last year too. What are they doing in the pen pregame???

    After 1 inning, Cards 1, Reds 0.

    Lohse at 7 pitches.
    Cueto at 24 pitches. Ouch.

    Better scouting reports?

I think it has happened 3 times this year. I think the Reds have scored in just as many if not more first innings.

    Not a good at-bat, Boss.
