This is like infield practice for the Cards tonight.

Starting to have the feel of a complete game shutout right now...

I've seen enough of the remains of Scott Rolen. He couldn't hit his way out of a wet paper bag. The sooner the Reds decide to address that elephant in the room, the faster they can get on with trying to win baseball games at a pace needed to win divisions.

Isn't that what I just wrote? But, again, doesn't make it right.

Mes is starting to look like a ballplayer. Nice infield hit to knock in a run, following a fine play defensively.

Important that Mes should do well with the Reds picking him over Grandal.

"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Twitter is ridiculous and requires a lower IQ to tolerate, like most article/blog comment sections on the internets.

This game is still in the 5th. Feels like the 8th.

    5 for 39 now with a sub .350 OPS.

    Ginormous elephant.
