Please try and steal to stay out of the double-play.

Didn't even think of that, that's a good one.

    I'll still go with Bell.

Should never have gotten rid of Mackanin. But, hey, throwing around $3.5 MM a year for a name was the cool thing to do.

They got the mother of all lucky breaks last year courtesy of the braves. Kudos to them for taking advantage of it. But they're still lucky.
I guess you are relying on the planets aligning stat.

Every other offensive stat shows that the Cards were the dominant offensive team in the NL for 162 games last year.

The Cards are still a good offensive team this year, good balance, steady hitters, don't strike out.

The Reds, on the other hand, are Joey Votto, a couple of old timers, and the right handed swing away and miss club.

Votto is the only hitter we have right now that will go the other way. And Cozart.

Walt Jocketty is getting a free ride with all the disdain for Dusty.

Walt put together this powerhouse offense.

He Walt, how about going out and signing some more right handed swing and miss hitters. We only have about 7 of them.

The Reds just need to make it to the end of the month trailing by less than 10 games and this is still a season....

2 on and nobody out. I'm seeing an infield fly followed by a double-play.

Sorry to be a pessimist. :-)

There is a reason why Pete hasn't been hired as a manager by some club. Any club. That's why he wasn't hired here. Was Dusty a mistake? My jury is still somewhat out. He makes mistakes, but we rail on TLR here and look what he did. This team isn't winning because of players playing poorly.
