Chapman fires a ball past bullpen catcher that causes delay in game. That shouldn't shock anyone. Wrigley is not a good pen for him.

So why send your worst hitter on the bench to pinch hit in that situation?
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Dusty obviously wanted a hit and run there. Thought Valdez was the guy to make contact.

Dude can't find the strike zone. Valdez either didnt give himself a chance or Dusty wouldn't let him.

I like Hanigan in that role, but I understand not wanting to burn your backup catcher.

Drew looks like a completely different guy the past 2 days. Not just the hits, but the swing too. 8-4 good guys.

    Stubbs promptly swipes 2nd.

Maybe because he's batting in front of Votto? I have no idea, but it's a theory. I will applaude Dusty for this one (I don't do that oftern, or at all).

Gotta wonder if it's the fastballs he's seeing in front of Votto.

That AB he saw sliders and a cutter.
