Scary afternoon stuff was oozing from this guy
I heard he's going to have a camo in the new Dark Shadows movie
This is kind of ironic.

I loved this show too but as I got older and saw re-runs I wonder why. What percentage of the shows actually had a scary scene? 99% of the show was filler and buildup. Rarely did Frid look like this in the show.
The ABC soap Opera Port Charles had more scary scenes
Loved Barnabas. RIP Jonathan.

Angelique was hot.
Can't believe she's 75 now. Ouch.

My wife is going to be upset to learn this. She is a big fan of his and Dark Shadows. She said she met him once in DC. He was doing Arsenic and Old Lace at the Kennedy Center. Somehow she was able to meet him after the show. She told him him she had been of fan of his since the Dark Shadow days and he told her "So that's what's wrong with you." He didn't have any pictures with him but promised to send her an autographed picture when got back to NYC. Which he did. R.I.P Jonathan Frid
I never saw Dark Shadows, myself, when I was young. We didn't get an ABC channel at my home. My dad could never receive an ABC channel with our TV line he had strung up the mountainside on which we lived. I do remember the kids at church talking about it like many of you said and remember.
Also without knowing he had died I found a best of Dark Shadows DVD at Wal-Mart over the weekend and bought it for my wife. How ironic!
