Opposing strategy of just waiting out Chapman probably as good as anything.

Reed Johnson doesn't, he swings and belts a foul.

    Two strikes.

Phew. Reed Johnson really turned on that one... just turned on it a little too much. Would love to see Chapman break out the change here.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

    Phew.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Advance warning for Tuesday's game thread. Chapman threw a lot of pitches today. Don't expect him to pitch Tuesday.

Chapman's velocity is up quite a bit today. He might just be overthrowing...leading to the walks. He had been sitting around 93-96 or so. Hitting 98 & 99 pretty often here today. If 95 means fewer walks, I'm all for 95.
