Yeah....stupid. Hit him if you want....don't tick him off and let him swing.

I didn't think they intentionally hit Votto. Maybe they did.

There was nothing wrong with knocking down Posey. It sent a message that intentional or not, you're not going to let anyone fool around with Votto. If it fires up the Giants, so be it. They'll think twice before they throw inside to joey again.

No that it really matters, but that plate umpire was terrible. His strike zone changed all night and what clown isues a warning in a 9-0 in the 9th inning lol

Really really bad. And it get worse every year. Clearly Selig is not doing what is needed to get decent officiating.

On the other hand, as Brantley said, Latos really sucked it up after the horrible call.

When it comes to beanballs I suppose it's no holds barred. It just bothers me when they throw behind a hitter. That might not be rational. Who knows.

As I recall the pitch was down at Posey's legs. It looked exactly kind of pitch you throw when you are retaliating , but you don't want to hurt the guy.

I did not see the pitch. I asked if it was behind Posey. Someone said yes. That is what I was going on.

I wasn't paying that close attention, but I think the pitch was down and made Buster skip rope. It might have been behind him, but I never felt like he was in danger of getting hurt. Just seemd like old time baseball to me, and Posey reacted to it like Frank Robinson used to when getting brushed back, by hitting it far and hard.

I sort of liked the whole affair.

Except for the warning which, under the circumstancesz, lacked common sense.
