Joey's seen what, 7 pitches in two at bats tonight?

    Wow, Joey again.

Gracious Joey..if we are gonna pay you seventy gazillion dollars to hit, please stop looking like you are completely incapable of doing so. I could have grounded out to second on any of those pitches.

Man, this ump has really given Cain some good calls.

Votto's start hasn't been too bad, but it's felt like it at times.

Cain's getting a lot of borderlines tonight, and knows it. It's the only reason he hasn't gotten yanked yet.

Disagree. Votto's start has been pretty bad.

Votto has struck out WAY too much this year with runners on base. Not acceptable for a $20+ million player.

It's not great, but you've always gotta take sample sizes into account. Votto's not as streaky as someone like Bruce; he'll have his hot stretches, but the cold ones are generally never worse than this. I expect he'll turn it around sooner rather than later.

At least we have some LF defense now.
