You do recall that Cain is on the bump, right?

A lot of offenses don't against Matt Cain....

However, they haven't done a lot against people NOT named Matt Cain as well.

Giants get two on with two out, we lose our minds. Reds get two on, two out we lose our minds. (not in a good way.)

It's difficult to watch Scott Rolen play the game of baseball when a bat in his hands.

Pop up to 2nd to end the mini-threat.

108 pitches for Cain, that's probably it for him. 2-0 Reds it remains though after 6 full.

How many runners has Scott Rolen stranded in the past 10 days?

Schuerholz was pretty clearly sitting fastball on the 2-1 count and got jammed by a good one. Latos got out of it with his best pitch, the fastball.

Whatever, though, we're not even having this conversation if the ump doesn't blow the called third strike on Sandoval.

Oh, so THAT'S what it is. I didn't realize Cain has been traded from the cards to the nats back to the cards, to the cubs and now to SF ... and has started about 4 times a week.

    This is a pitchers duel.

This is why we got Latos.

C'mon man, you are better than that, complaining about tonight.

Yes, the bats are struggling. But remember a few things. The Nats & Cards both have excellent pitching staffs. The weather in Chicago was attrocious. There are some extenuating circumstances that have made a slumping offense look even worse.

Big Rolen fan here, but perhaps talk of him hanging it up needs to start heating up.

Brantley is the worst reds announcer ever IMO
