    I don't mind giving bench guys occasional starts but I could do without them hitting at the top of the order.

    But what position would you make Valdez play? We know where SS bats.

    Stubbs should have run during the Valdez at bat. What's the point of Stubbs/Valdez at the top of the order if Stubbs doesn't go.

    Bruce looks lost. Zito tough on lefties, but he can't throw a strike and Jay is flailing away at a pitch he couldn't hit with spade.

    Not a good batting order tonight. Valdez shouldn't hit second. Bruce shouldn't hit fifth against Zito.
