    Wow.

It was a borderline pitch. It wasn't that horrendous a call. It's on Marshall, period.

Is this the first time Marhall has gone back to back games as a Red?

In no way was it borderline.

    Back to the positives.
solid outing by Bailey, nice to see Bruce with the 3 hits and the longball, Phillips and Stubbs with 2 more hits, and Rolen with another jack. Good signs in not the W

The pitch the Pagan should've been called a strike, yes. Marshall also walked the leadoff batter, and then gave up a 3-run bomb. This game isn't on the umps. It's on Marshall. And that's fine, it happens. By the end of the year we'll get a few calls to go our way, too. He just wasn't as sharp today as he has been in the past.

Just hope that Marshall is cut out for this closer gig. Terrific pitcher, excellent curve ball, just don't know if he is used to pitching on consecutive days.

He certainly wasn't as sharp today.

Not even close. His vertical location was good, but he wandered across the plate.

If the strikezone is called correctly, he doesn't give up the home run. We don't know what happens after that, but Pagan would have been sitting on the bench.
