Way to go Jay!
Way to go Jay!
The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. -- Terrance Mann (Field of Dreams)
That's great to see!

Great job Bruce!
Does anyone blow as hot or cold as Jay Bruce? I wonder if that is how he will be his entire career. It's crazy how locked in he gets when he is hot.
By the way, MLB misspelled Cincinnati as "Cincinatti." Nothing like knowing the city name of one of your oldest franchises.
It's not so much hot and cold. It's home and road. Jay has a huge home/road OPS split over his career. Lifetime .912 home, .710 road.
He's young, I'm confident he will hit better on the road as time goes on.
Has been on fire this homestand, certainly deserves the award.
I'm sure he will wear that fine piece all over the place. In recognition of his National League Player of the Week Award, Jay Bruce will be awarded a watch courtesy of Game Time, the leader in licensed sports watches, available at MLB.com.
My wife got me a new watch for my birthday. Jay should be so lucky as to have one that nice.
Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13
University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98
I wonder if he'll be saying, "What time is it? Let me check my -- Player of the Week -- watch. Anybody else need to know what time it is? Joey? Brandon?"
Somewhere that "I hate Jay Bruce" kid is losing it. Haven't seen him posting around here in a while.
Good on Jay Bruce.
