    Buccaneers sign Eric LeGrand

The Buccaneers signed undrafted college player Eric LeGrand today. Not a big story, unless you recall that he was the Rutgers player who was paralyzed last year. His former coach, Greg Schiano, is now the Baccaneers coach, and said:

Leading up to the draft, I couldn’t help but think that this should’ve been Eric’s draft class... . This small gesture is the least we could do to recognize his character, spirit, and perseverance. The way Eric lives his life epitomizes what we are looking for in Buccaneer Men.
Pretty cool story, and particularly nice to read with all the messed up things going on in pro and college football these days.

Nice to see the coach stand up for his (former) player.

    Cool gesture.
