The Reds only hope is to get in to the Cubs bullpen. Of course, they refuse to make any pitcher work. 82 pitches through 6.

Cairo and Frazier are not the solution. An improvement but not the solution. Someone like Nix, Ibanez, or Damon, is the solution.

I would settle for Danny Dorn or Mike Costanzo at this point.

Phillips, Bruce and Ludwick. What's that sound like?

    1-3. Not an encouraging start.

Another quality start by Bailey. From the sounds of it he didn't have his best stuff today but he labored thru. In years past a HR would have meant 2,3, or 4 runs right after. He woulda never had a game like today where he battles. I know he hasn't progressed as fast as some would like, but he is showing signs of improving. Right now I would say he is the 3rd best guy in the rotation behind Cueto and Arroyo.

Bruce down on one pitch. Pops to Castro. 4 pitches, two outs.

Maybe not, but Fraizer needs to be playing in front of Rolen, anywhos.

Mes grounds out on two pitches. 10 pitches. I guess Dempster will go at least eight.
