So can we just all agree that "the pitching was just too tough today/night" is likely gonna be the phrase used the vast majority of the time a righty is starting?

Cubs have runners at 2nd and 3rd, one out, after an Ian Stewart double and a Soriano single.

You didn't get the memo. It's still early and any criticism of the offense is premature and the Reds scored a lot of runs last year and any move to change things would be a panic move and any critic of the offense thinks the sky is falling and it's a small sample size and it's BABIP and every team has slumps and you can envision a real hot streak on the horizon and "I'm not worried about the offense" and handedness doesn't matter and the Reds offense is better than the Cards offense and wait till we play the weaker teams and wait till we hit at GABP and wait till we face some weaker pitchers and we're just running into some hot pitchers right now, and these guys will all hit their baseball card.

I got the memo, so I'm satisfied. It's all good.

Soft liner back to Bailey end the inning. Good job from Bailey to get out of that jam.

Say what you want about Homer Bailey, the guy is a grinder of a pitcher.

Cards up 2-0 already. Reds aren't even in the same league.
