What chance did the Reds have sustaining a 3.17 team ERA? Not much, but it could have lasted a bit longer. I have to do my Reds Stats After Thirty Games post soon and I was looking forward to an outstanding team ERA.

Homer Bailey deserves every bit of this loss. Just a terrible outing. Back and forth with him ... He'll never put it together.

The Rangers just went down in the 9th. Unless there's a miracle comeback, looks like Josh will have to settle for tying the record.

Only four homers? Trade wasn't too bad after all.

I agree that he totally deserves this loss, but I don't agree with the last part. At all.

Wayne Krivsky deserved to be fired on that trade alone. One of the 30 worst trades in baseball history.

Gallardo is on tonight. Reds down in order, ending with a Stubbs K.

Brewers announcers say that all six Brewers runs tonight are on two out, two strike hits. Sam Lecure is the pitcher for the Reds.

Ha, no kidding. Hamilton would look awfully nice in that vacant clean-up/left field spot in our lineup, wouldn't he?

Makes no sense to bring in a rookie with occasional control problems with the bases loaded and two outs. Bailey had handles Ramirez pretty well. Way to put a rookie in a tough situation.

Bruce continues his hot streak. 7-2 now.
All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.
