Not sure how practicing dodgeball helps you improve your basketball skills...

FWIW, they said during the NIT that Coach Cal had to resort to playing dodge ball during practice just to help get the team on the same page since everything else was failing. Of course, I imagine Calipari actually played the version of dodgeball we all grew up with in gym class, not the chuck the ball at a players head while his back is turned to you.

Wow, I watched w/ the sound down, so I don't know what the commentary/discussion was, but based upon the video, how does he get any quality recruits to sign with him? I wouldn't let my son sign w/ him.

    Wow.

Find it hard to believe he won't be fired, it's not like he has a good record to stand on.

The AD will go down too. He knew about this when they suspended him in December.

Welcome to the Big 10, Rutgers.

Seriously, why are they acting like they want to keep him so bad?

Doubt it. He's up for AD of the year.

It's crazy if he survives given the way this went down.

Funny how Rutgers didn't think this was a big deal until the rest of the country got hold of it. Apparently they don't have an issue with Rice's actions, but do have an issue with them being in the spotlight over it.

Not to condone it but I wander if there are any coaches burning practice video this week. I suspect that the verbal abuse is similar at a lot of schools.

The verbal abuse is borderline. You can get away with a lot of that. Even grabbing guys and pulling them to the right spots on the floor. Throwing basketballs at guys' heads? See ya.
