What if this is a quick-end for Rolen? If the shoulder is too banged up, does anyone see him retiring mid-season?
It would be sad to see, but it could open up $$$ and room to bring home Youk.
At least it may explain his struggles. Given his lack of production offensively, the Reds will be better with Frazier in the lineup.
I don't wish Rolen ill will - but this team needs someone else at 3B IMO
The older I get - the better I was
and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)
That is disappointing in light of the fact that he said he was feeling so good in spring. His body is telling him it's time.
Heads of state that ride and wrangle. That look at your face from more than one angle. Can cut you from their bloated budgets. Like sharpened knives through Chicken McNuggets.
It's really sad to watch a one time great player not know when it is time to step away from the game...
get rid of this scrap heap joke of a thief, he should have retired wirh Benjamin Harrison was president
Kinda saw it coming. Not saying he isn't hurt, but with the way he was struggling I figured he'd take a trip to the DL.
I don't think he was ever fully recovered to begin with. He hasn't been the same since he first hurt the shoulder.
"I talked to an advance scout that told me if Joey Votto and Albert Pujols were on the same team he'd advise his team to do the unthinkable...pitch around Votto to get to Pujols." - Buster Olney, ESPN
he is a great leader why doesnt Baker bat him lead off
Well then hopefully he does to the DL cause he isnt helping this team
