But that gives us bad fielding at every OF spot.

Bruce is just an OK CF, but sensational in RF It also puts Ludwick in RF.

I know and I agree. I was only commenting on when you said that leaves us with no CF'er. There are options, not great ones, but certainly passable ones.

I meant no one who can CF that we'd want to use as a regular or semi-regular basis. Bruce should stay in RF where he excels.

Acquire a CF. Play Frazier in LF. Platoon Cairo and Costanzo at 3b. Make the hard but overdue calls on Stubbs and Heisey.

    Gotcha.

And with that, a bunt popup to LeCure from Desmond. 1 down. Thank you Nats.

Its 2 weeks. Stubbs can play. If he gets hurt, Heisey can catch a flight.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

But you can play Constanzo at 3rd and Frazier in LF without sending Heisey down.

No offense to Costanzo, but I'm not ready to give him any job based on one pitch. Lol

Besides, he needed to pull the ball there. A decent AB for a first MLB AB, but not one to get excited about.

I think playing on a part time basis is messing with Heisey's head. He always looks like he is pressing. I don't think he is an All Star but I think he is better than what we've seen.

Send Heisey down with the express plan of rebuilding whatever limited trade value he may have.

But Heisey isn't going to get going w/o a stint in AAA IMO. That's the entire point.

And you don't really want to do that either. Costanzo is not a good defender. Solid arm, but that's it. Frazier's best position is 3rd.

We;ve gotten this offense by thinking constantly about defense.
