    Ludwick pinch...."hitting"? Debatable. Hopefully.

I recall giving you a friendly reminder of how things were in early 1974.....but even I am getting frustrated and tired of this Half A act from this team ....where it seems everything is just cool and laid back..and it will happen.

Only 3 teams have worse offensive production from LF than the Reds.
Only 6 teams have worse offensive production from 3B than the Reds.
Only 6 teams have worse offensive production from C than the Reds
Only 2 teams have worse offensive production from 2B than the Reds
Only 7 teams have worse offensive production from CF than the Reds

Phillips is the only one you can count on to hit that much better than the others have.

    Ludwick pinch-whiffing. Ugh.

And we're suggesting sending Heisey to AAA? I don't get that sentiment at ALL. Ludwick's done nothing since leaving the juice factory.

How can he be this bad? BS about the park affect and this guy cannot select pitches any better than Stubbs.

1975-76 Nate Colbert just called and said it's time to let me have a try ...I can do better than that.

Cut Ludwick and make a trade. Thirty-three games is enough to flounder while evaluating what you have. Time to make the necessary adjustments.

Simple. You can send Heisey down to let him find his stroke. He's one of the few that may be salvageable. Give him 2 weeks to get going and cut Ludwick when he comes back up.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

I would package Ludwick, Heisey, Valdez, and Harris for an outfielder who could hit .250.

I think we can just as easily play him regularly HERE and let him find his stroke.

Please God no. He'll never be anything but a hitter similar to Ludwick. Bang or bust.
