    A pathetic at-bat by Stubbs.

*sigh* Stubbs K's on a checked swing. I think the ball hit somewhere on the dirt in front of the Reds dugout. Goodness.

Drew has seemed to get to 3-2 a bunch this year but just gets too antsy on the payoff. I think that is correctable.

He took a meatball to fall behind in the count and then had to go into protective mode. Taking early caused that one IMO.

Darn. Heisey hits one on the nose, liner right at 2nd. Just crummy luck on that one.

Yep. Kill the meatball on Strike 1.

That leaves us with no viable CF replacement.

But you can do this without sending Heisey down.

So can Bruce. That's actually his preferred position. (And no, I'm not in favor of sending Hi-C down)

Costanzo in his first major league AB certainly looked the best of the three hitters who made outs in that inning.

If Heisey is going to be of any use this year, he needs 2 weeks in AAA. From the way its going, the Reds are going to need a 13th pitcher anyway with no off days anytime soon.
