If Dusty wanted Bailey to learn how to pitch in pressure situations why did he lift him when he did? 112 is not an excessive amount of pitches. Let him get that last out. Let him become a man.

Baker makes an inexcusable decision and folks run in here to make up fantasies to defend him.
A summer watching a bad Reds' team, is still a pretty good summer.

Winning the game is more important than letting Bailey face two more hitters in May.

I don't agree with the decision, but I disagree with your reasoning for getting Ondrusek up. If Mesoraco gets an out Bailey doesn't bat with 2 outs and a RISP, with Mes on and 1 out I would imagine the plan all along was to keep him in.

We're also in a 20 games in 20 days stretch, so getting as much out of the starters is important. I would agree with the decision if our team could hit...for all we know that could be our last opportunity and I'd rather take 2 chances.

These folks are coming in with some pie-in-the-sky fantasy about Baker turning Homer into a man. I was just saying that is nonsense.

According to Fay, Dusty was upset when he was asked about the lack of stolen bases this year.
