I loved that sequence. Fall behind to Chipper, don't give in. A walk there is no big deal.

Heyward, lefty on lefty with the Missile. No sweat.

That's the way to avoid allowing runs. Good pitching and SMART pitching.

101 on the inside backs him off, slider on the outside off the plate. Brilliant call.

Nasty from Chapman there. 101 in on the hands followed by a 90 mph hook away. There's not much a lefty (or anyone) can do there.
This will not change until the Reds win the World Series.......

Fox Sports just showed Votto's first grand slam against Atlanta from two years ago. Was that the game they ended up losing 10-9 on another grand slam??

    Can't Stand Ya
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Livan Hernandez looks like he might be Fransisco Codero's brother.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
