Not to beat a dead horse but Bruce is up 1-0 to a pitcher who has thrown 7 straight balls and walked two guys when you are down 4 and he swings at a marginal strike. What is he thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You need base runners make him at least throw one strike before you help him out. He really should have someone talk to him after that.

The swing was putrid at best.

How many did the Reds leave on base tonight?
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

I just saw Phillips walk and Bruce ground out on a 1-0 pitch and as klw explained......show the same bad habits that make you go why is he not batting cleanup to WTF is he thinking.
