This year Citi Field has been an extreme pitcher's park. Hopefully, Leake can make that work to his advantage.

    1. No Bruce? Really
    2. They moved the fences in..and it's still a pitchers park?

He's due for a day off. I can't remember the last time he wasn't in there.

2 players are batting where they should. Votto and Frazier. Ok maybe Mes.

    Want to see:

BP (has proven to be better at lead off, and proven to suck at 4)
Hanigan (high OBP which is what you want in front of Votto, Dusty,)
    Votto
Bruce (perish the thought, 2 lefties together)
    Heisey
Cozart (until he proves he can hit consistently)
Stubbs (has been better in 2 hole but who wouldn't be in front of Votto)
    Frazier

Since Stubbs will bat 1st or 2nd, then bat Hanigan 5th.
None of this will ever happen.

We have a bunch of two hitters. I think Stubbs, Cozart, and Phillips would all put up their best numbers in that position. Well since it's in front of Votto probably our entire team would.

The leadoff spot has been killing us though. I think Stubbs is sub .100 there and Cozart is in the .100s. Someone is gonna have to do well there, a healthy Phillips is probably our best option.

Bruce is in the best shape of his life. His hitting around .300 and an OPS over .950

But we have Ludwick in there....stud

We have had a bunch of days off the first two months of the season. It's ridiculous that Dusty feels the need to rest Bruce already.

    Great, struggling Leake gets Mes.

This post sums up my problems with most Sundeckers:

    1. They fail to look at the big picture.

    2. They think all players are machines.

    3. They fail to recognizer the lefty/righty percentages. (Bruce can use a day off, so give him the day off against the tough lefthander).

Pretty condescending post there. Just because I'm stuck in the Sundeck doesn't mean I'm clueless. I'm fully aware of the big picture and fully understand lefty-righty percentages. You aren't talking to a child here. I'm old enough to remember when star players routinely played 160 games a year, if healthy. I'm not suggesting another Cal Ripken streak, but when you only have two guys swinging the bat well, and you've already had numerous off days the first couple months, I'd like to see both those guys in the lineup. But I'm not freaking out about it. I made one post on the topic, before this. Now I'm done with it.

Sorry nothing personal. but of all the complaints us redleg fans have, giving Bruce the day off against Santana doesn't seem to high up on the list.

If thats the best Frazier can do against a lefthanded pitcher, he is of no use to this team.
