    It would be nice to jump out to a lead occasionally, so our pitchers don't feel like they have to be perfect with every pitch.

    I've been saying this for several years.....We must be falling behind 2 or 3 times
    for every one time we get the lead first.

    Reds have scored five runs in the second inning this year. Five runs in 35 games! Seven runs in the third.
