Baxter K's and he's mad about it. 4-4 after 7.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Seeing as he does have trouble with back to back outings, is setup really the best place for him?

I like the way you think, let's hope that is the case.

Closers pitch back to back. Starters pitch 200 innings. Pitchers get used, that's the nature of the job.

He allowed an unearned run, he didn't get tagged for 7.

It's fine, he just should be rested tomorrow and maybe Saturday. I'm sure Walt will tell Dusty.

Great job by the kid Hoover. And Chappy, even when he looks terrible looks great really. 2 Ks, 1 unearned run.

Bats need to pick this game up and get this team 3 games over

It is not. Especially on a team managed by our current skipper. Chapman is a stallion, not a mule.

Time for some more late game heroics
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob
