I could watch Hanigan work behind the plate all day. He's as good as it gets.

Lots of high strikes in that at-bat. I sort of feel sorry for the ump behind the plate. You know he was cursing when he realized he was going to have Dickey today.

I was all for a Stubbs-for-Brantley swap with the Indians.

Brantley is hitting more now, but he's walked only one more time than Stubbs.

I can't understand that, because Brantley makes far better contact (only 14 Ks). Apparently he makes too much contact.

That last pitch to Neiwenheis (sp?) was high AND off the plate.

    Well, he hasn't even tried.

And with his contact issues, refusal to attempt bunts, and propensity for taking called third strikes, exceptional measures (calling for him to bunt) would seem to be in order, IMO.

Stubbs would bunt every time he got to two strikes if I was the manager. Automatic.
