This team is one of the reasons I've pretty much abandoned the "strikeouts don't matter all that much" philosophy. Granted if you can balance it with some walks and perhaps even more importantly home runs you may still have a fighting chance. But I'll probably always be fairly old school on that point that there's a better chance of something good happening if you put it in play than if you don't.
