This game is a perfect example of (IMO) why the DH is bad. Nova should have been gone for a pinch hitter in the 5th. Instead he's out padding his K total...Managing in the AL is a piece of cake...

The ignore feature in game day threads would mean I would be talking to myself.

We are leading the Yankees, coming off a night of silenting their bats with the exception of two pitches.

We havent played well but like it or not, we are in second place and trailing the defending world champions by a whopping 2.5 games.

Why does sunshine even need to be pumped. It is still naturally sunny.

I could see if we were actually not executing the hand wringing, but we've scored 5 in 6 innings against a guy who has tremendous stuff today. Strikeouts or not, we're not playing as bad as some of the naysayers want to say.

Good inning against the heart of the lineup for Homer. 1-2-3, 2Ks.

Homer is cruising! Not even at 85 pitches yet I don't think.

I retract my previous statement about not letting him back out for the 6th.

Outside of the Votto homer the Lineup has had atrocious AB's against a guy who has given up the most total bases this year and a short porch which is begging Jay Bruce to reach. Still not an offensive showing Red's fans expect to see.
