    Star of the game:

    3. Homer

    2. Joey

And the # 1 star is"

    Jose Arredondo!

Coming into that mess in this ball park to face Jeter and Granderson. WoW!! Would have been a devistating loss. Big time move by Baker to get Marshall out of there.

OK. If Marshall gets removed as closer, does he return to the 7th or 8th?

Why not think outside box....why not starter? He used to start and wasn't half bad at it.

    He's got a starter's repertoire.

I would like to see Marshall performing in less stressful situations. I think the pressure gets to him. In the 6th or 7th of a one run game I think he'd destroy hitters...but you can't out the whole game on his back. As soon as he comes in I want to start doing shots.

Reds signed him to a big extension for a 6th or 7th inning pitcher?

Arredondo is now my favorite Red. What a huge big time effort. And don't forget that sacrifice by that Italian kid.

Costanzo's sac fly was big. A lot of Reds' hitters would have struck out there. Put the ball in play. What a concept.

I think we're stuck with him. Do you ever recall Dusty removing KOKo? He s now done it twice with Marshall.

Take the rubber game and life is pretty good.

Another concept (Willie Harris and Freddie Lewis not withstanding) is to put a left handed hitter up against a right handed pitcher.

7th, Ondrusek has to be after him. Starter is an interesting thought, although I am not ready to give up Bailey or Leake yet.

    Melvin Mora is right-handed hitter.
That has to be nonsense. Those rumors about Mora and the Reds.

I'm going tomorrow. If I get a chance I'm going to give Jose a shout out. I cannot tell you how pumped I am by what he did today.

I can see Walt and Dusty now talking about Mora.

    Plays third? CHECK.
    Plays the outfield? CHECK.
    Old as dirt? CHECK.
    Hits right-handed? CHECK.

Get that man on the phone now.

If he had ever played for the Cardinals, it would be a clean sweep.
