    Hanigan the Manigan!!!
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Is that what happened? I couldn't tell because Brantley soiled himself.
"In our sundown perambulations of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing 'base', a certain game of ball. Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our close rooms, the game of ball is glorious"

Did the fans throw the home run balls back? The cheers shortly after seemed to indicate to me that they did.

George and Chris noting the Reds considered drafting Sabthia in 1998, went with Kearns instead. Jim Bowden is the gift that keeps on giving.
