    Reds vs. Braves Monday 5/21

According to some on Sun Deck, the Reds are a garbage team with no players, no coaching, no hope. According to the standings, the Reds could be a first place team by 11pm tonight.

    Cozart SS
    Stubbs CF
    Votto 1B
    Phillips 2B
    Bruce RF
    Ludwick LF
    Frazier 3B
    Mesoraco C
    Leake P

Back-to-back good outings from Leake would be a huge plus.

Was looking over our schedule, it's crazy how many good teams we've played early in the year. After this series we get the Pirates, Rockies and Stros for a while. It would be nice to take 2 or 3 in this series.

Reds have played an average schedule so far according to these folks. Ranked 14th out of 30 teams. .500 winning percentage for teams played to date. The remaining schedule does get easier. Overall, this site has the Reds 2012 schedule ranked at 29th out of 30. Reds don't make the schedule. They just have to take advantage of it.

Mike Minor's last four starts are very ugly. And that is being kind. In those four starts he has given up 7,8,6 and 6 earned runs respectively, never going more than 6.1 innings. The Pittsburgh Pirates score 7 earned runs off of him! In 20.2 innings pitched he has allowed 32 hits, 27 earned runs, 10 walks and 7 home runs. His ERA is 11.76. Reds should feast.

Does Chapman's role as the closer mean he can come out and pitch the last inning in a save scenario again tonight, or is he going to get rest just 1 in like 3 days now or something

I would like to see Stubbs park a couple of those softballs. Get him some confidence.
