Good inning right there from Latos.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Comebacker to Latos. Quick inning there. 1-2-3. 4-2 it stays...middle of 5.

    Latos at 80 pitches.
    2014 predictions:
99-63 WS champs (Cards take 2nd WC, Mil 3rd, Pit 4th, Chi 5th)
Bruce/Votto neck and neck MVP race (neither takes it)
    Bailey CYA winner
    Hamilton ROY & GG

I'd say the Reds are going through a home run correction. Law of averages returns.

That was a nice inning by Latos, mixed up his pitches well.

Latos through five on 80 pitches. Hopefully he can throw two more good innings.

We are 1/12 in BABIP tonight, but have 4 runs anyway.

    Last night was similar.

I agree we were due for some dingers. But I really want to see a few sustained rallys. When was the last time we saw a 3 run inning (or more) withOUT a dinger? It feels like it's been a LONG time.

Be nice to see Latos put up a zero in the sixth and get him out of there to build some confidence.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

One extreme to another with Leake to Latos at the plate. Mat looks completely useless with a bat in his hands. :O)

(and as I type that, he puts a decent swing on the ball. He k's regardless...but a solid swing. Baby steps)

Beachy at only 60 pitches through five. He'd be pitching quite a game but for those three dingers....
