A 2-out hit for the pitcher, and Babe Borne homers to give Atlanta a 2-1 lead.

Homer started to get his fastball up in the zone. He looked like he was coasting a bit too much when he pitched to Delgado and Bourn. If he gets that pitch down just a little to Bourn, it's not a homer.

Mez could earn himself some more playing time right here.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Do you pinch hit with Hanigan here? I would consider it - strictly because I know Hanigan is a very good situational hitter (and I'm worried about the GIDP).
This will not change until the Reds win the World Series.......

A four game sweep of the Braves, if it happens, might be the most impressive feat of the season to date.
