    Friday, May 25, 2012, Minor-League Updates

Dayton scored 4 in the top of the first and rolled on to an 8-7 defeat. Ryan Wright (.312) was 3-4 with a 2B and 3 RBIs and Kyle Waldrop was 2-3 with his first HR of the season. But it wasn't enough to overcome the pitching of Radhames Quezada, who lasted three innings and coughed up 7 runs (6 earned).

Kyle Lotzkar also had a forgettable start: 3.1 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 6 BB, 5 K. In the fifth, Joel Guzman has Pensacola's only hit and the Wahoos trail 5-0.

Man, rough night on the farm. Kind of matches what the big club did tonight.

However, Pensacola scored 5 in the sixth to pull even at 5-5, now in the eighth. LaMarre, Greene and PJ Phillips have doubles.

(Edit: Oops, sorry. Just saw the post above.)

Joseph gave up a rare run in the 9th on a pair of doubles. Pensacola goes to the bottom trailing 6-5.

The Bakersfield Blaze went up 1-0 with a Bryson Smith walk, Hamilton single, and Devin Lohman RBI groundout. Hamilton also got a SB in the inning.

Justice French has thrown three shutout innings for the Blaze despite allowing four hits and walking two with only one strikeout.

French allowed an unearned run in the top of the fourth to tie it up at 1. Juan Duran had an error on a two out flyball in foul territory. The batter hit an RBI double later in the AB.
