    Vintage Dusty inning ender.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Stubbs needs to have a long talk with Eric Davis.

    Webgem?

This sucks. The blackout apparently also means no highlights during gameday.

Hoover can get credit for the win if the official scorer deems he pitched effectively.

In the Angels/Mariners game, they are wearing vintage jerseys. However, these are confusing. Seattle is wearing old Rainers uniforms, which are red and white, and the Angels are wearing gray uniforms that have blue caps. So watching the game casually, the M's look like the Angels and the Angels look like the M's.
"Man, the pitch looks fast, even in slow motion." Thom Brennaman on Chapman's fastball.
